Delete your MarketConfig account
You can delete your MarketConfig account at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what your market keeps. It applies to the MarketConfig mobile app and the MarketConfig website, which MarketConfig LLC operates. You do not need to sign in to read it.
How to delete your account
In the MarketConfig app
- Open the MarketConfig app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Delete account.
- Tap Delete account again to confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
By email
- Email support@marketconfig.com from the email address on your account.
- Use the subject “Delete my MarketConfig account” and include the name of your market.
Use this if you can’t use the app. We only act on requests from the account’s own email address, and we reply when your account has been deleted.
Deleting your account can’t be undone. If your market invites you again later, you will get a new account.
What is deleted
Your login
Your MarketConfig sign-in is deleted. You can no longer sign in to the app or the website.
Your name
Removed from your profile, which then shows “Deleted User”.
Your email address
Removed from your profile.
Your phone number
Removed from your profile.
Your profile photo
Removed from your profile.
Your access
Your roles and market access end, and push notifications to your devices stop.
What is kept, and for how long
Your market organization uses MarketConfig to run its business, and some records it keeps are not deleted with your account. They stay with the market where retention is required or permitted for legal, regulatory, audit, security or legitimate business purposes. These include:
- Payment records and receipts
- Ledger and other financial records
- Messages sent to or from you
- Training progress and certificates
- Terms and consent records (what you accepted, and when)
Your market decides how long it keeps these records. To ask about them, contact your market directly.
Backups: copies of deleted data can remain in our backups for a limited period, typically 30–90 days. After that they are deleted or anonymized.
